From traditional to contemporary black gospel,

Joyful Voices of Inspiration sings it all with heart and soul!

Joyful Voices of Inspiration is a 30+ member group of singers who LOVE to sing gospel music.  Gospel music is both a powerful inspirational medium and a uniquely American art form, and the choir enjoys nothing more than sharing their inspiring gospel music with others.

The choir is not aligned with any faith or denomination, but represents people from a wide range of religious backgrounds who find joy and power in the music and the message of gospel.  Choir members range in age from 25 to 80+ years.  The group strives to be a family that supports and respects all members.  The choir embraces people of all races, creeds, and classes, and aspire to serve as a model of harmony.

Joyful Voices of Inspiration was originally formed in the Spring of 1999 in response to an invitation to perform gospel at various venues in Italy.  The original 30-member group found that their gospel music and their message was enthusiastically received in Todi and Netuno, Italy.

Upon returning from that first tour of Italy, the group incorporated as a non-profit organization and articulated its mission to promote appreciation for black gospel music and interracial harmony throughout the world.  Members of the choir are high school and college students, as well as adults and seniors from a variety of Greater Boston towns and suburbs.

The choir loves to travel and goes on singing tour most every summer.  To date the choir has visited Italy (twice), as well as France, Holland, Ireland and, most recently, Brazil!

Joyful Voices of Inspiration frequently donates their services at civic and fund raising events in the Boston area.
