Here’s a good old time, down home, hand clapping song to start your day! Bishop Paul Sylvester Morton who leads rhe choir was born on July 30, 1950 is an American Baptist Pastor and the Senior Pastor of Changing a Generation Full Gospel Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, and Co-Pastor of Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church in New Orleans, Louisiana. I love this choir!

Jerome L. Ferrell is the youngest of ten children born to Elder Willie E. and Mother Emma Ferrell, Sr. of Fort Meyers, Florida. Jerome was always eager to excel in the recording industry and was employed by various radio stations from Buffalo, NY to Sarasota, Fl.
He founded the Lighthouse Interdenominational Choir in 1980. This group has received national attention by having songs that are on top record billboards across the country. Excellence has always been important to Reverend Ferrell and this quality of perfection has provided him opportunity to go to higher levels in the Gospel recording arena. Reverend Ferrell has sponsored many Gospel Music workshops across the country and his vision led him to incorporate Lighthouse Interdenominational Ministries in 1994. In addition, he is the founder and Executive Director of BDE, Inc., Diversity Records.

Same great song, different title. The WHOLE correct title is a combination of the two…”I Never Shall Forget” (What He’s Done For Me)”. I kind of prefer the NEB Total Praise Choir version. By definition it’s not as pro and polished as the GMWA version, but a bit more real being performed live in a small church.
I believe this is the third version of this song I’ve posted because I love it so much. Maranatha Gospel is a group that sings primarily praise and worship songs, usually those that are popular in large evangelistic churches.
This version is incredibly good…the beginning is like most versions of the song (the song was composed by Donny Harper, Director of The New Jersey Mass Choir), but then at 2:40 the song breaks into a wonderful, almost endless (well, 2 minute long) vamp that is unique to this version, and it makes the song great!
You know I LOVE Youth Choirs and The Soul Children of Chicago are among the very best. Give the song time…the opening solo isn’t riveting (IMHO) but once the choir comes in it’s great…USE ME, have Thine own way, USE ME as an instrument of praise!

If I had ten thousand tongues,
I’d praise You with every one.
If I could fly to the uttermost parts of the world,
I’d spread the good news of Your greatness.
If I could blow like the wind,
if I could roar like the sea,
I’d perform for You a symphony.
But since I have none of these,
I’ll just use what You gave to me;
but whatever I use, whatever You choose,
I’ll use it to say thank You Lord.
Use me as an instrument of praise
(so I might praise Your name)
and it won’t be in vain.
(Use me) so someone can see
the light that shineth, that shineth in me.
Use me as an instrument of praise,
so that I might worship You.
Whenever I pray, use me.
Whatever I say, speak through me.
Use me, have Thine own way,
use me as an instrument of praise.
