I’ve Been In The Storm Too Long

It’s amazing how much one doesn’t know and how much friends help one learn.  Case in point, this fabulous duet by Aretha Franklin and Joe Ligon of The Mighty Clouds Of Joy.

I know a bit about gospel music and have listen to my fair share, but there is so much great music out there, one can’t know it all.  I only learned of this song from a comment or email I received from Tony Clayton, a friend and a fellow tenor in the Joyful Voices.  Thanks Tony for turning me on this this song and this album of Aretha’s that I hadn’t listened to and for making my day while I write this posting and listen to this song again.
